Seal Fishery Re-Opening for Front Longliners

DFO wishes to advise that the fishery for Harp and Hooded Seals by Front Longliners, License Class N100, will re-open in Sealing Areas 4 to 8 and 12, at 6:00 am. on Saturday, April 26, 2008.

In addition to approximately 6,000 seals remaining in the current allocation, an allowance of 15,000 seals are available for all Front and Area 4 fleets.  This additional allocation can be accessed once inital fleet allocations have been harvested.

Vessels are required to hail out to Seawatch, telephone number 753-3880, prior to departure.
