| | Front Seal Fishery Opening for Some Fleets DFO advises that the seal fishery for harp and hooded seals, in sealing areas 4 to 7 and area 12, will open for front longliners, area 6 small boats and area 7 and 8 small boats, at 6:00 a.m. and close at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2007 The fishery will remain closed Saturday, April 14, 2007. DFO will compile catch information to determine if the fishery will re-open to these fleets on Sunday, April 15, 2007. Sealers will be advised of re-openings through a Notice to Fishers over Marine Radio. Area 4 sealers and area 5 small boat sealers are advised that the seal fishery will not open for them before April 15, 2007. All sealers are reminded to provide their daily catch report as described in license conditions. VMS systems must be activated.
